Chocolate Milk

It is almost the end of the semester which is exciting and also the perfect time for me to get sick of course. I started feeling a little sick on Sunday(16th) night and am now just full blown miserable. Last night(Monday night) I could barely sleep because I couldn't breathe and my lymps were all swollen and sore. Finally after an awful night's sleep I got up 2 hours before my alarm and was planning on making an appointment at the Student Health Center while I was doing that my roommate Emilie informed me that she recorded a video of me snoring. Lovely I know. I have this awful tendency to snore when I am really congested as several people can testify to. While I laughed when I saw the video there is no way I am going to post it online, sorry. Back to the point... so I got an appointment at noon which was luckily because I was really worried I was going to have to wait another day! The doctor asked what was wrong so I told him about my swollen lymphs and the congestion and he took one look inside my ear and said "you weren't kidding about being congested." I didn't take that as a good sign. He asked if I had a little bit to give a blood sample so he could check my blood count because he thought I might have mono! I was not too happy about that news because I definetly do not have time for mono, seriously who does?!?! Also me and needles don't have the best history together. The technician who took the sample was really nice and had me lay down and kept me talking but I still got white as a ghost when she was done. I would love to be able to get over that who knows if I ever will though. Luckily as I found out ten minutes later I do not have mono. Since I am miserable and the doctor seeing that (as well as several others who made comments about how I looked) gave me an anti-biotic prescription which I am suppose to take two pills two times a day. This is what leads to the title of this blog of Chocolate Milk. When I would have to get a prescription filled my mom would always get me some chocolate milk to take with them and so now I think that is the only right way to take pills. So I have a gallon of delicious chocolate milk in fridge because I have taken pills with water or juice or whatever and nothing makes taking pills better than with a nice glass of chocolate milk! :)

Did I ever tell you that it is best to take medicines with plain water? I hope you feel better soon. Wish I come bring you some good chicken soup. I am so glad you have a blog so I know a little of what is going on in your life.

Hey Kelsie! I'm so glad you don't have mono because college students definitely don't have time for that. :) I hope you get feeling better. It's no fun being sick.
