Italy

Me and Kimmi eating dinner in Florence. We both had pasta then split the pizza.

Me in San Gimiano, Italy. I loved it there!

Geleteria in Sienna. Gelato is so good!

Inside the Duomo

Me outside of the Sienna Duomo (Cathedral)

This is the square in Sienna, Italy, this is where they have a horse race every July. If you have seen Quantom of Solace, this is where they are at in the beginning of the movie.

Me at the Collessum

Me at some ancient Rome ruins.

The Pantheon

Me throwing three coins into the Trevi Fountain.

The sign to go up to St. Peter's Dome. 5 Euros to walk up 521 steps.

Amy, Kassie, Kimmi, Kelsie, WE climbed all 521 to the top!! So worth it!

Brittany and me in the Vatican Museum

Rachel, Laurel and me waiting in line to get into the Vatican Museum.

Kimmi, Kassie, Kelsie (all three K's!) Enjoying our first Gelato's!!

I love Italy! We got to Rome Monday night and got to go explore and then Tuesday we went to Vatican City and then got to go out on our own which I mentioned in my last post. The last post I did I wrote in under 3 minutes because I totally forgot I was going to write on my blog and by the time I thought about it my time was running out, I had only paid for 30 minutes which was actually three times as much as I paid for 30 minutes today. So that is why that post is pretty scarce. So that was Tuesday, on Wednesday we went on a walking tour of ancient Rome which was a lot of fun and then got on a bus to Siena, which was absolutely beautiful. It is a small little town that actually has a really famous race horse in it every summer. The race horse there might be in the beginning of the the new James Bond but I haven't seen it so I am not sure but others were so if you have seen it I was just there! Then Thursday we were in Siena for half the day and went onto a little village called San Gigmano. It was beautiful! I love the small little towns, the cities have a lot of stuff to do but the small towns have so much heart and soul in them. Last night we arrived in Florence (Firenze here) and we are not leaving until Sunday, so lots of time here which is fine because it is beatiful and love it here plus the shopping. I bough a beatiful leather purse which I was planning on buying but I love it and I have wanted a new purse that I love for awhile now. For dinner the past two nights we have had veal and potatoes because that is an Italian classic, and it was good but two nights in a row was a little much. Tongiht we get pizza and pasta and I am excited for that. We also went into the Ufizzi today and tomorrow we go to the Academia. We have gone in several Cathedrals, at least one everywhere we have been and they have been so gorgeous. It amazes me what they accomplished with what they had back then. This post has gotten a little long so Ciao for now! (I have gotten told I look like an Italian several times now, and if I say hello to them in Italian they usually talk to me in Italian until they realize I only speak English and then they will switch)
