Colorado Trip

I finally got to fly with my favorite person ever! It was nice having someone else to fly with and not wait in all the lines by myself. We flew to Denver on June 19th. It was our first time either of us have ever rented a car and it turned out fine. Robert's brother and family live about an hour north of Denver and then we also spent a couple of days in Basalt at my grandparents.
The pictures are in kind of a random order and there are not very many but here are the ones that I did take.

Here is a picture of the smoke from one of the Colorado fires. We were driving on I-25 and almost to the exit for Robert's brother's (Ted & Quincie's) house.

This is a picture taken from the backyard of Ted and Quincie's. In this picture you can actually see some flames. Quincie looked it up and the fire is about 15.5 miles away.

We took Brian and Megan (Nephew and Niece) with us and explored Denver. We went to Hammond's candy factory and took a tour. It was a lot of fun!

Football stadium where the Broncos play

It's kind of hard to see but there is a white statue of a bronco.
We went out to eat after the candy factory tour at Casa Bonita. They had divers do shows every 15 minutes. It was a lot of fun to watch.

This is our only picture from our trip to Basalt/Aspen. It is me with Grandpa Pete and Grandma Ginige. We had a lot of fun being there. We got to see Grandpa and Grandma, walked around Aspen for a couple of hours, my cousin took us river rafting (sorry no pictures of that!), Grandma took us around Basalt and told us about what things have changed and where she grew up and then Friday night the four of us went out to eat. It was a great trip!
I took this on the drive from Aspen. Robert had a great time driving on those curvy mountain roads.
Another thing Robert loved was going through all the tunnels, especially the Eisenhower tunnel.
                                             About to enter the tunnel.....
                                                        In the tunnel....

We had a blast being there. We loved Colorado, it is a great place and it was a lot of fun seeing family!
